Blue duck (1605/2613)

Blue ducks live year round on bouldery rivers with stable banks in forested catchments. These rivers provide the clean, cool, oxygenated water that its aquatic insect prey live in. As they are at the top of food web in these habitats, blue ducks are a key indicator of river system health.
