When a significant proportion of the world population of shore plovers made a rare appearance on a mainland beach, I went to see them. I took a few photos too.
Like hundreds of other people, I was lucky enough to see an emperor penguin that was discovered on a kapiti Coast beach two weeks ago. I’ve now uploaded some of my photos.
